Pre-Care for Medspa Treatments

  • Set up a Consultation to discuss the Pre-Care:
    • Medical History: Inform the provider about any medications, allergies, or health conditions.
    • Sun Exposure: Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks prior, especially for laser or chemical peel treatments.
    • Medications: Some treatments require to stop certain medications (e.g., blood thinners, retinoids) a few days before the procedure. If you are on antibiotics you need to wait at least 2 weeks until you are finished with the medications to continue your laser treatments. If you are on ACCUTANE you must wait until at least 4 months after you are done with the medications to do any laser treatments.
    • Skincare Products: Stop using exfoliating products like AHAs/BHAs, retinol, or acne medications as advised, typically 3–5 days before treatment. We may give you a skincare regimen to follow before starting any of our treatments.
    • Hydration: Drink plenty of water and keep the skin moisturized leading up to the appointment.
    • Before starting LASER HAIR REMOVAL: No more waxing, threading, epilator, no self tanner at all during treatments and stop 4 weeks before appointment

Post-Care for Medspa Treatments

  • Injectables (Botox, Fillers):
    • Avoid Touching the Treated Area: Do not massage or press the treated area for at least 24–48 hours.
    • Avoid Exercise: Refrain from strenuous exercise for about 24–48 hours post-treatment.
    • No Lying Flat or Bending Over: Especially for Botox, avoid lying flat or bending over for 4 hours after the procedure.
    • Cold Compress: Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling or bruising.
    • Please wait for the results. It can take up to 2 weeks to fully settle, if a follow up is needed call to schedule an appointment.
  • Laser Treatments (Hair Removal, Resurfacing, BBL, Halo & More):
    • Sun Protection: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) diligently, as treated skin is more sensitive to UV rays.
    • Avoid Heat: No hot showers, saunas, or exposure to heat for 24–48 hours.
    • Moisturize: Keep the skin well-hydrated using a gentle moisturizer.
  • Chemical Peels:
    • No Exfoliation: Avoid any exfoliating products or treatments until the skin fully heals (usually 7–14 days).
    • Avoid Picking: Do not pick at peeling skin to avoid scarring or irritation.
    • Sun Protection: Again, strict sun avoidance and sunscreen application are essential to prevent hyperpigmentation.
  • RF Microneedling & Microneedling Pen:
    • No Makeup: Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
    • Use Gentle Products: Switch to gentle, hydrating skincare products without active ingredients like retinol or acids until fully healed.
    • Sun Avoidance: Limit sun exposure and wear sunscreen to protect the healing skin.

General Guidelines

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water post-treatment to support healing.
